Tiny Land introduces dual-mode wooden play kitchen for children

Tiny Land has launched the BistroSwitch Play Kitchen, which the company describes as the first dual-mode wooden play kitchen designed to transform between a family kitchen and a bistro station. Intended for children aged three and older, the product is designed to support imaginative role play by allowing children to switch between different play scenarios.

Modern home kitchen setup

The play kitchen features a modern home kitchen setup with a stovetop, sink and mini refrigerator, as well as a bistro mode with a food station and preparation area. Additional features include a magnetic chalkboard, an order notepad, storage bins and a chef role-play kit. According to the company, the dual-mode design is intended to encourage collaborative play, creativity and social interaction.

Developed using Montessori-inspired principles

The company said the BistroSwitch was developed using Montessori-inspired principles and incorporates furniture-grade materials and a minimalist design intended to complement modern homes. Tiny Land also stated that the product is made from Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood and has been independently tested to meet U.S. toy safety standards.

Occupational therapist Cristianna Cardinale and pediatric physical therapist Dr. Anastasia Bach, both advisers to Tiny Land, said the play kitchen supports the development of fine motor skills, communication, problem-solving and imaginative play through role-switching and collaborative activities. The BistroSwitch Play Kitchen is available starting at $159.
