TOMY to launch first ultrasaurus model featuring Gravity Cannon
TOMY Company, Ltd. will release the Zoids AZ-17DX Ultra Saurus Gravity Cannon Ver. in late February 2027 through its official online store, Tomy Mall. The model is part of the premium T-SPARK hobby brand and the Advanced Zi series, which is aimed at collectors and hobbyists aged 15 and older.
Based onone of the most iconic Zoids models
The product is based on Ultrasaurus, one of the most iconic Zoids models, originally released in 1986. It is the first official Ultrasaurus model to include the Gravity Cannon, a weapon that appeared in the original Zoids anime series (1999–2000). The model is designed to faithfully recreate the anime version. A standard AZ-17 Ultrasaurus without the Gravity Cannon will be released at the same time through regular retail channels.
One of the largest in the series
When equipped with the Gravity Cannon, the model becomes one of the largest in the series, measuring approximately 721 mm in length, 379 mm in height, and 392 mm in width. It features motorized movement and reproduces the entire loading-to-firing sequence through gear-driven mechanisms. Although the firing action is simulated, no projectiles are actually launched. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin in early July 2026.
Continued growth of T-Spark brand
In the announcement, TOMY highlighted the continued growth of its T-Spark brand, which now includes 14 product series. The company stated that it plans to further expand its lineup and strengthen engagement with fans worldwide, particularly in Asia and North America.
The release announcement also introduced additional upcoming products, including Transformers Overgear Optimus Prime and several new Toyrise projects featuring mecha from the Getter Robo, Brave, and Eldran franchises.

Additionally, Tony announced the opening of T-Spark Zone Hongkong, the brand’s first standalone store, as part of its efforts to expand its global presence and provide fans with more opportunities to experience T-Spark products in person
