Toon2Tango and Schleich agree to collaborate on Eldrador Creatures
Children's and family entertainment company Toon2Tango, a Leonine Animation Studios company, and toy manufacturer and leading international brand of authentic toy figures Schleich GmbH have entered into an agreement for entertainment formats of all kinds, initially developing and producing a 52x11' CGI-animated TV series based on Schleich's famous Eldrador Creatures toy line.
The series will be part of a broader franchise programme with which Schleich and Toon2Tango want to build an entire multimedia world around Eldrador Creatures. In addition to the conclusion of a comprehensive development and production contract for the CGI series format, a large number of short formats are already in development. Other formats such as apps, a YouTube presence, video games, film and live-action adaptations are currently in the planning phase.
Fantasy brand with potential
2019 saw the launch of Eldrador Creatures, a fantasy brand about wild and cool creatures from five different worlds. Each world has its own world crystal. The Eldrador Creatures compete against each other in battles, with each world striving to conquer all the World Crystals and unite them to form the Super Crystal. The figures and playsets have a strong appeal to a core target group of boys aged six to ten. Schleich has enjoyed rapid and steady growth since its launch in 2019. Between 2023 and 2024, sales of the product line increased by 14 percentage points. Brand awareness: 58 per cent of the target group are familiar with the products and worlds, an increase of 15 per cent compared to the previous year. Boys aged seven to nine are particularly keen fans. In 2024, the Lava BattleCave was honoured with the German Top 10 Toy Award.
