Tramm Wigzell joins Samka Group as global Head of Content

Tramm Wigzell, takes on the newly created position of Global Head of Content at Paris-based studio Samka Group.

Prior to joining Samka, Wigzel worked at Cartoon Network for 18 years, most recently as SVP of Original Series. He oversaw the development of all the channel's original productions.

In his new position, he will develop new animation and live-action projects with potential for the U.S. market and international co-productions.

He will also oversee business development for the companies Samka owns and operates. Among them

• Jetpack Distribution (London)
• Live-action studio Kam&Ka (Paris)
• The factual producer Sklan&Ka (Tel Aviv)
• Unique Animation (Angoulême)

Wigzell will be based in LA and will work closely with the companies' executives to expand their presence and partnerships in the U.S. and manage a portfolio of animated and live-action content for a demographic range from preschoolers to teens.
