XREAL and ASUS ROG to launch world's first 240Hz AR Gaming Glasses
XREAL has announced a strategic partnership with ASUS Republic of Gamers, unveiling the ROG XREAL R1 AR Glasses at CES. The ROG XREAL R1 are the world’s first gaming glasses to feature a 240Hz Full HD micro-OLED display (1920 × 1080) and are designed for use with PCs and consoles via the exclusive ROG Control Dock.
Lightweight and high-performance gaming displays
The collaboration combines XREAL’s expertise in lightweight XR hardware, spatial display engineering and proprietary prism-based optical systems with ROG’s long-standing leadership in high-performance gaming displays. As a market leader in AR glasses for the past five years, XREAL contributes exceptional clarity, comfort and stability, while ROG brings its legacy of setting industry benchmarks in refresh rates and immersive display technologies. Together, they translate large-format gaming performance into a wearable spatial experience.
ROG Ally–optimized gameplay
The ROG XREAL R1 delivers immersive, ROG Ally–optimized gameplay, featuring a 57° field of view, three degrees of freedom (3DoF), electrochromic lens tinting and premium Sound by Bose audio. Seamless integration within the ROG ecosystem allows easy switching between PC, console and the ROG Ally handheld via DisplayPort, HDMI or USB-C, with full plug-and-play support.
Weighing just 91 grams
Weighing just 91 grams, the glasses create a virtual 171-inch screen at four meters, powered by XREAL’s X1 chip. Users can adjust screen size and distance, while competitive gamers benefit from a 240Hz ultra-high refresh rate and 3ms motion-to-photon latency. XREAL’s patented X-Prism Optical Engine and Anchor mode enhance comfort and immersion by allowing the virtual screen to be positioned freely in the real world.
Improving comfort
Adaptive electrochromic dimming adjusts transparency based on viewing direction, improving comfort across different lighting conditions. Spatial audio tuned by Bose further enhances immersion with precise, three-dimensional sound.
The ROG XREAL R1 is expected to launch globally in the first half of 2026 and will be showcased at the XREAL and ASUS ROG booths at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
