Zigazoo appoints Ashley Mady as CEO
Zigazoo, a social media platform for kids and teens, has appointed Ashley Mady as its Chief Executive Officer, marking a new chapter for the company as it works to build a media company for Generation Alpha.
Mady brings more than two decades of experience in entertainment, including work with brands such as Disney’s Hannah Montana, The Wiggles, Care Bears and Tonka. She has also served as president of Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment and currently sits on the boards of The Toy Association and The Toy Foundation.
Working alongside Zigazoo founder Zak Ringelstein
Mady will work alongside Zigazoo founder Zak Ringelstein, who will transition to Executive Chairman, and Simon Philips, who serves on the company’s Board of Directors. As CEO, Mady will expand Zigazoo beyond its platform and develop new ways for users to connect through digital and real-world experiences.
Ringelstein said Mady has played a pivotal role in shaping Zigazoo and brings experience across entertainment, creators, consumer products and technology.
Creating a media environment for Generation Alpha
Mady said the company aims to create a media environment for Generation Alpha in which creators, technology and community help young people discover their voices. She added that the future of media will be participatory and creator-driven, with communities helping to shape it.
According to Zigazoo, the leadership transition is intended to support the company’s broader vision and its continued development as a media company for Generation Alpha.
