Special Areas for special interests. The special and activity areas at the toy fair in Nuremberg provide presentation opportunities for many international exhibitors with focus on technological toys, additional assortements for the book tade, several country pavilions, test and inspection institutes in the Testing & Inspecting Center and the games community in the GamesCafé.

The new attraction in the "Festive Articles, Carnival, Fireworks" area. The activity area in hall 8 offers daily fashion shows of the latest costume highlights as well as live product demonstrations on a catwalk. Various hands-on activities and decoration areas also promise a lively world of experience around the topic of dressing up, celebrating and party.

Games, puzzles, wooden toys, lifestyle products, school supplies, handicrafts, licensed products, ... at the Spielwarenmesse® you find the inspiration to attract additional groups of buyers. Located at Entrance Mitte, you get tips and know-how in a special tailored for the book trade.

From robots to RC products to augmented reality - the development of technological toys is fast. The activity area Tech2Play in Hall 4A offers these four categories: Robot Toys, Virtual Play, RC Toys, Electronic Learning. The various categories featured in the promotion area encourage visitors not only to browse but also to get involved.

Special Area Baby and Infant Articles

Products for babies and infants are in the spotlight at the Spielwarenmesse®. The extensive spectrum of products in the baby and infant range is reflected in a special area located between halls 2 and 3 in these five sub-groups:

  • Care & Food
  • Home & Safety

This area provides a good insight into the diversity of baby and infant products on display throughout the exhibition center in Nuremberg. The passageway is a source of inspiration for you wondering which products from this product range will complement your business models most successfully. A quiet zone with catering and hospitality facilities give the opportunity to relax and contemplate.

It is the true-to-life constructions and accessories that make a model railway layout original and lively. United under the umbrella of the newly designed product group entitled "Model Railways and Model Construction", the small series manufacturers specialise in exceptional model railways and accessories and round off the range with their products.

Meeting point of the games community

Rolling the dice, rattling the toy figures: at the GamesCafé you see game designers presenting their latest game ideas in the exhibitor foyer in hall 11.0. The GamesCafé is the centre for contact with the professional international games community. Here, you can meet game designers, tabletop games experts, publishers or game initiatives. This information, discussion and contact platform gives you many ideas on how to highlight games in your shop. You have the chance to develop concepts for game presentation events with the help of the game designers. The GamesCafé presents an extra feature with a small exhibition from the collection of the German games archive.

The GamesCafé is a cooperation between the German games archive, the game designer association and Spielwarenmesse eG.

Around a dozen nations exhibit in their own country pavilions at Spielwarenmesse®. This offers you the best condition for specifically finding the products of individual international markets.

More than a million products compete for the visitors’ attention at Spielwarenmesse®. They all promise to be fun to play and make children’s eyes light up. But are they also safe? Nowadays, quality and safety dominate the toy industry. The Spielwarenmesse® provides lots of useful information on these issues. Manufacturers and traders can find out all about toy safety in the Testing & Inspecting Center throughout the fair. The national and international test and inspection institutes there in hall 11.1 provide information about test procedures and safety requirements.
